Where It All Began
It all started with my love for designing and creating beautiful, yet functioning visual art.
Having studied interior design, my passion and eye for creating works of art from inspiration by using things around me were embedded in my creative design spirit. While in college, I was presented with the challenge to design my boyfriend’s graduation invitations. After some comparison shopping, I realized that all the invitations looked the same and this made me determined to design invitations that were unique and special to him and that would also be a beautiful keepsake for his family and friends.
To my surprise, the invitations were received with praise and compliments from friends, family, and co-workers. Shortly after, I started to receive multiple requests to design invitations for a variety of occasions such as baby showers, birthday parties, and other social events. Excited by the interest in my designs, I often created invitations on the side as well!
Needless to say at this stage in my life I was more focused on my corporate position, not yet realizing that my dream of designing invitations would grow from a hobby that I would do in my spare time for close friends and family.

“After realizing that my heart was not in the corporate world, my mother-in-love kindly reminded me of the invitation that I created for her son when we were in college and asked why did I stop?”
Her mention of the dream I started years prior reignited the spark and passion for design again. Deciding to jump in with both feet and all FAITH, Chocolate Silk Creations was established!
